Complaint Details:
Useless 4 G device that doesn’t work most of the time, doesnt work if I move out of the state. Got this 4 G device on a exchange offer – offer was that I’ll get 250 rs discount for the first ten months which is equal to the cost of the device.
Issues I faced with 4G device –
1. Hasn’t worked anywhere in my house at 4G speed, middle of chennai city.
2. Doesn’t work if I move around in chennai
3. Doesn’t work outside chennai.
4. Reset a million times on instructions from Airtel customer care who don’t have a clue about what went wrong.
5. Discount was not noted on Airtel server so had to painstakingly explain every month for availing the discount after talking to them for minimum of half hour. IF THE CALL GETS DISCONNECTED THEN ANOTHER HALF HOUR TO EXPLAIN FROM THE BEGINNING. NOBODY TAKES A NOTE OF THE CONVERSATION SO IT NEEDNT BE EXPLAINED OVER N OVER AGAIN. “THIS CONVERSATION SHALL BE RECORDED FOR QUALITY AND ASSESSMENT PURPOSES” IS ABSOLUTE HORSES###. Airtel has really taken for granted that no customer will leave them. I’ve been with Airtel for more than 10 years. Broadband too for a very long time.
6. Surrendered the connection out of utter disgust on the kind of treatment meeted out to a loyal customer.
Issues faced – Airtel mobile connection.
There are 8 Airtel mobile connections in our house which was working fine till last year but none of which work inside our house now. Number of complaints have been made. Airtel doesn’t care a damn about it. We are all in the process of changing to other operators using number portability.
