Scam or fraud: Sony India — Sony xperia A1 touch not working

I have purchased a SONY XA1 mobile on 26-04-2017. The touch started giving problems on the very next day.

I was unable to type few letters on the left side, I took the phone to the dealer Poorvika mobiles to which they informed, I will have to go to service centre to get the phone serviced.

I was off town on a business trip and was able to go to the service centre only on 12-May-2017. In the mean while the problem got expanded and most of the left side screen became unresponsive.

I handed the phone at service centre on 12-May-2017 and was informed my phone would get ready only after 10 days due to spare unavailability.

In the due course I have not received even a single update or follow up. I walked in to the service after 10 days centre to get a lame answer “Persons who have handed the phone before you are still waiting so you should also wait and I would take 15 more working days”.

This is really frustrating to get a new phone, give it to the service centre and wait for an unknown time to get the phone serviced and returned back.

I called the tool free and complained about the issue, to which the agent on line informed he would expedite the process.

I demanded that my phone should be repaired in next 5 days or I would either need a replacement. If both the cases or not possible then refund my amount to which he agreed.

But it is more than a month now am yet to receive any updates.

My phone is not repaired also i did not received any updates so far.

The service centre guy also informed there are more than 25 phones lying on service centre with the same issue. So overall its a manufacturing defect i believe
